I do apologize for the late addition to the blog, however my Sunday morning started with volunteering for the Hypo Half with Dick, Jim, Maureen, Dianne, Shanane and Amy. Thanks for taking the time out of your morning for good times, a bit of craziness and cheering on the athletes as they came thru. Having said that, the visual of watching the runners was a bit scary. So to those of you that actual read this: PLEASE, PLEASE obey the rules of the road. This means you RUN facing traffic, always. IT is for your safety. When you are in a race: WATCH for the marshall that is standing on the corner with the orange vest (hopefully) to cross you safely. DO NOT cross in front of vehicles, especially when they are moving. There could have been numerous problems yesterday. Congratulations to all who ran.
The afternoon spent making snacks for the Big Game. I am really only it for the half time show and fellowship with friends. Which means it was late when I got home.
Couch 2 5k - we are entering our 4th week and I am enjoying the constant improvement I am seeing with all of you. We are working on your form, slowing down, and the base or foundation of your pacing, strength and motivation to keep steady. Keep it up.
To all who are training for the Chilly Half and Around the Bay, leading into your Spring Goals - Keep steady, yes it has been cold and the monotonous of being on a treadmill can take its toll. Don't forget your wellness to your body with massages or any other treatments you need. Leaving it too long makes for a stop in your progress to reach race day.
It is sunny out. Enjoy it and see everyone on the streets, well lit, running the right way and keeping safe.
