I enjoyed the run (if you can call my nose running, my head aching and body aching enjoyment!) because I was running with Lisa Beatty, my wife's youngest who has been with me since she was 11 years old - It was special to finally get to run with her today. She is a great runner - held the local school 800 record in Sarnia for many years. MOST of the "Keep on Walking" group did the Run for Retina today including grand children, daughters, Daughter in Law (first ever race) - they always make a splash in their "pink" coats and stylish walking gait!!!!!!!
So next weekend I will be away. I am leaving on Friday to drive to Boston and will run on the 18th - no matter how I feel - I just MUST do this to improve my qualifying to for Comrades!!!
In case any one is interested - my bib number in Boston is 25750 - hoping it is a lucky number
ALSO I "MUST" apologize to Dianne Stephenson and the Sarnia Road Runners - I was wondering why there were only a couple of us on Saturday AM and later saw on FB that Dianne and Monica both did the Road Runners Race - good for you guys for supporting this fine Sarnia organization. Next Month our Saturday run, which coincides with SRR, will be with the SRR group - we will run to where they hold their races - please remind me Dianne.
I hope everyone is enjoying their runs - no matter where you are running - with others or on your own. This is the MOST important thing = enjoyment - it really is good to be able to run and be active. Need to be pointed in the right direction or shoved out the door - let me know - maybe I can be of help.
A great read = WALK DON'T RUN
Enjoy your week
