I actually took the last 90 days off from running - after completing Comrades = 1 day for every KM!!! I figured, I would get back into it on September the first - and I did. This week I ran 3 K on Monday, 5K on Wednesday and 10K on Saturday - where the "best laid plans" come in is that on Saturday, I fell on the Front Street railway tracks and injured my toe!!!! Now why?? Maybe too much all at once. I probably should have only done 8 km on Saturday = gradual progress. Damn - hope I am not laid up too long??!!
You guys all know I am a great advocate for form and slower running to increase your ability and endurance. I have just read a new book called "Slow Jogging" where they explain "NIKO NIKO" pace. It is a short but good read. Here is a link to Google Books where you can buy it
