Unfortunately you can never recreate exactly what you wrote the first time however I will try:
ALL of you who are running in the next three weeks in Chicago, Detroit or Niagara have finished the main part of your training, so I just want all of you to make sure you are listening to how you feel. Better than you do not run, than run and injure or over train. Over-training and injury will prevent you from getting to the start line, where as , even if you are under-trained, you will be able to run and compete. Follow your plan right up to the race - however "IF" you feel "off" back off - do not run, just rest!
Some people have mentioned to me that they are nervous about their race - not a bad thing. Being a "little" nervous actually makes the experience more intense. You will actually run better if you are nervous - just try to enjoy!!!
We will all be waiting to hear about your race when you return - make sure you bring your medal and smile with you??!!! Feet on Fire will have a get together after the end of October.
Local races are the heart of running community. Bluewater Health and Noelle's run pay back to our community. Feet on Fire are holding our race to support men's health on Movember 22nd, so please sign up to run or volunteer. We have arranged food and drink (Chili and Beer) plus prizes for performance and door prizes to make participation worth while. We are continuing to look for sponsors, hence any suggestions would be appreciate. Our aim is to pay for our race with sponsorship, so that your entry fee can be donated to Movember and a charitable receipt can be sent to you to claim on your taxes. Last year we donated $45 per participant which gave each person running approximately a $12 rebate on their entry fee via their taxes. The more support we get the more everyone receives in return - including the charity. Thanks for last year - lets make it happen this year!!!!!!!
