Please take the time to critique any part of the race that you think could have been done better. I believe participants will get a survey or questionnaire however even those who volunteered should give us their opinion about where and how we can improve this event. A HIGH FIVE to FoF C25K participants - We are so so impressed with all the results. We hope you will continue to run and hopefully you will continue with the FoF organization. We will talk Monday night about how you might accomplish this. Feet on Fire will also be starting a new C25K session on January 6th - so if you know anyone who might be thinking about getting into running or would benefit from our base coaching - we would appreciate you passing along our name (let us know if you need a flyer to pass along?)
Truly this is the end of our racing season for 2013 - take some time to regenerate (if you haven't already) Your body needs a rest and reset period. Any running now should be base / aerobic running. Allow yourself this luxury - your body will thank you and your results as you move forward will show improvement once you start to seriously train again.
Keep in mind that the Sarnia Road Runners have an annual event on January 1 2014 which is a 8KM road race usually starting at the Animal Farm running out Lakeshore Road. This is a great way to start the year out even without a lot of training - just come out and run for the fun of it. There is usually a great crowd of happy people (some still happy for the night before!!) They also have an annual CHRISTMAS FUN RUN on Saturday December 14 at 10:00 AM to be held in Canatara Park starting at the cannon. The distances are 1, 3 and 5 km. Dress up in red, green or yellow. Wear a Santa Claus hat or Reindeer antlers if you wish. Have a jolly good time! Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank. Everyone is invited.
You coaches are always available for consultation - just ask - schedule an appointment to discuss your future goals and or schedule a HR retest for those in the Beyond the Wall program and or a video analysis to correct any running issues you might have.
