What a fantastic week. Weather was on our side, Runs were great. Goals are getting closer and the Half marathon Relay was such fun. For those who came out to have FUN, try something new, enjoy a little (ok- a lot) of competition, lol, between the teams and to follow it up with great food and fellowship - Thank you and Congrats. To those that could not make it up, mark it on your calendar sometimes a break in your schedule is what you need to recharge. Below are the teams, times and places.
We are heading into August, I know I have 99 days or 15 wks or training left. Am I worried, NO. Am I enjoying myself, Absolutely. Am I listening to my body and doing what it is telling me, For sure. Are you? Do your have your physio, chiro, massage booked, even for maintenance. Are you building your core and testing your upper body strength? How goes that HR training or breathing? Are you checking in with yourself and paying attention? Please follow your OWN program, please only do YOUR mileage, you don't want to peak, you don't want to be over trained, injured or tired when you get to that start line. Most of you have been running for a while and have dealt with different injuries an have healed. Make this year, YOURS and run with your heart, abilities and passion.
CRIM is fast approaching, August 24th to be exact. Are you in? Are you staying over? Do you need me to pick up your package? If this is your first time, you should plan for the expo. Great deals on shoes, socks and some other great finds. Or stay for the after party, Good times in Flint, MI for sure. Cal and I are there and about 15 others. Not to late to register and enjoy the brick, hilly course of CRIM
As always, if you think your program is wrong, not targeting your goal race, or is too advance for you, please share with us your thoughts and we can adjust to better suit your ability.
This is the Civic long weekend. I will be away up in Belleville visiting my sister and running my training with lots of hills. Enjoy it.
